Andrea Conway Doba

An audience favorite in both San Francisco and Seattle ZinZanni tents since 2000, actress, dancer and acrobat Andrea Conway Doba weaves her comic magic as the ZinZanni waitress-in-training who cannot seem to stay in the kitchen. Andrea spent eight years with Cirque du Soleil, touring with Saltimbanco throughout Asia, Europe and North America and created one of that show's most memorable characters, the enticing and sexy Baroque.  An accomplished athlete, Andrea was a member of Canada's national gymnastics team and earned a Bronze Medal in the 1987 Pan-American Games. In real life she is married to Wayne Doba whom she met and fell in love with at Teatro ZinZanni in San Francisco in 2001. When they are not performing at ZinZanni, Wayne and Andrea tour their duo comedy show, "The Dik and Mitzi Anniversary Show" all over the US and Canada. They are on the constant lookout for new costumes, props and funny ideas to further refine their act.

Kari Podgorski

With her long flowing mane of wavy blonde hair, the nimble nymph Kari Podgorski makes her Teatro ZinZanni debut with her playful, powerful and sensual aerial act. Spending her formative years immersed in as much dance and gymnastics as humanly possible, Kari leapt into aerial and circus arts with true passion and delight. With the creation of her bubbly yet sensuous character Sally Pepper, Kari performed with Seattle's Circus Contraption from 2001 to 2009, charming audiences with her vocal solos, hula hooping, tap dancing, tumbling, group acrobatics, roller skating, and her unique signature act: the static cloudswing.  In 2008, Kari portrayed the young, acrobatic Nedda falling in love with Canio in Seattle Opera's Pagliacci. Lauded as an "aerialist par excellence" by the Seattle Times, Kari has performed her cloudswing act in over 30 U.S. cities, from Manhattan to Los Angeles, and internationally from Victoria, B.C. to Portugal.  Locally, she has appeared with the UMO Ensemble, the Aerialistas, and EnJoy Productions; she has choreographed pieces for Edge Theater Ensemble and Washington Ensemble Theater, and starred in Seattle's own variete review, the Moisture Festival.

Kevin Kent

Quirky, charismatic comedian Kevin Kent appears as the enigmatic Mr. C, Master of Disquise. An original Teatro ZinZanni cast member, improvisational performer, humorist and physical comedian, he has created the characters Cookie, Mable, Manchester, and most recently Cliffton Caswell, in Beaumount & Caswell.  Kevin has been a performer, producer and director in the Seattle area for a number of years.  He developed and performed with Kings' Elephant Theatre, a company specializing in improvisational full-length plays.  Kevin has performed in many Seattle venues from The Rebar with Dan Savage's Greek Active, and his own Sister Windy; My Life as Art, and The Temptations of Sister Windy at the Seattle Repertory Theatre.  He has developed and directed works with many notable Seattle Artists including:  Scot Augustson (Sgt. Rigsby), Jennifer Jasper (Maggie, Pulp Vixens), Troy Mink (Carlotta in The Haint), Sara Rudinof (Tales from A Broad), Kevin Joyce (A Pale and Lovely Place), K. Brian Neel  (The Maids) as well as Holiday shows at On The Boards with the infamous Dina Martina.  In his off time, Kevin lives in the mountains of New Mexico.

Mr. Lutz

A cool head and rigid formality are the mainstays of the Maitre D' at Teatro ZinZanni.  At least that is the philosophy of "Mr. Lutz" played by Dresden-born actor Lutz Jope. He began his acting career in East Germany some twenty years ago in a pantomime group, and then co-founded the most popular troupe of the East German clown scene, "Salto Vitale," which toured the Netherlands, France and Austria. His character "Mr. Lutz" was developed at Panem et Circuses, toured in Pomp, Duck and Circumstance and also appeared in Viva Italia.

Sabine Hettlich

Sabine Hettlich most recently headlined at the Lido de Paris where she took Paris by storm, receiving the highest critical acclaim. She became an instant star at the age of 19, in the original German production of Cats. She went on to pursue her love of jazz, winning Best Singer at the prestigious Deutsche Rock Prize. She was soon singing throughout Germany and Europe with a variety of big bands and symphony orchestras, and became the German voice for Walt Disney's main characters in Aladdin, Hercules and Annie. She soon became the lead in City Lights at Berlin's Friedrichstadtpalast (Europe's biggest Revue Theatre), and moved to New York to star in Pomp, Duck and Circumstance. She made her debut album in "A Lady with Appeal" in Montreal, prior to a stint in Los Angeles with the Chris Walden Big Band. Now based in Berlin, she made her Teatro ZinZanni debut in San Francisco in January 2009

Tobias Larsson

Suave, blonde with a roguish smile and legs for days, Sweden's Tobias Larsson leaps into Teatro ZinZanni's spiegeltent in his Seattle debut. A heartbreaker from way back, Tobias is an actor, dancer, choreographer, fashion model, circus and cabaret performer and a director. He made his international debut as a dancer at Lido de Paris and has toured Europe with several shows and performed with Tina Turner and Olivia Newton John. Educated at the prestigious Academy of Ballet in Sweden, he has worked with choreographers Craig Revel Horwood, Bill Goodson and Mic Thompson. He counts among his conquests (and favorite performances) "Moulin Rouge" in Paris, Sweet Charity, West Side Story, Three Penny Opera and as the lead in Sondheim's Company. Just prior to coming to Seattle, Tobias directed and choreographed La Cage aux Folles at the Arbis theatre in Sweden.

Vertical Tango

Sam Payne (U.S.) and Sandra Feusi (Switzerland) have received the highest possible acclaim for their astonishing, sensual "Vertical Tango."They received a gold medal at the 2005 Festival Mondial de Cirque du Demain in Paris, a silver clown at the 2008 Festival International du Cirque de Monte Carlo, and the Bay Area's Isadora Duncan "Best Choreography"Award in 2005/06. The couple trained at the San Francisco Circus Center, and began performing with San Francisco's Pickle Family Circus in the mid-nineties. They toured worldwide for five years with Cirque du Soleil's Saltimbanco, spent a season with Switzerland's national circus: Circus Knie, and have performed for television and live events in Europe, the US, and Japan. They are the exceptionally proud parents of a new baby girl, Luca Selina, and are very happy to be back with Teatro ZinZanni.

Wayne Doba

Hailed by Donald O'Connor as a "throwback to the old Vaudeville days," actor, dancer and comedian Wayne Doba has performed professionally for almost three decades. An original cast member, Wayne created the character of tap-dancing waiter Dick Nimby especially for Teatro ZinZanni. He has also shared the stage with dance legends such as the Nicholas Brothers and Honi Coles. His stage and screen credits reflect the diversity of Wayne's experience and talent and include the role of The Creature in classic horror flick, The Funhouse, Octavio the Clown in Brian De Palma's gangbuster hit, Scarface, and an appearance as Tex the Barker in the Prague debut of The Freak Show, an opera by enigmatic rockers The Residents. In celebration of their fifth wedding anniversary, Wayne and Andrea (who are really married) have recently created "The Dik and Mitzi Anniversary Show."
